Covid Protocol - Latest Update
COVID Curbside Protocol Update for our Seattle veterinary clinic.
Message from Our Team -
Hello Northgate Clients,
**Please note that the following protocols are subject to change at any time without advanced notice**
Starting Monday, July 26th we will begin allowing fully vaccinated, masked clients into exam rooms with their pets for visits with our doctors only. We will still be offering curbside appointments for those that prefer to continue to practice increased social distancing. At this time technician appointments and all other services will remain curbside. This includes visiting the clinic to pick up food, medications or any other items.
To avoid crowding in our lobby and maintain appropriate social distancing, our check in process will remain curbside. We ask that you continue to text us when you are here and follow the instructions that will be provided at each parking spot. This will include your preference of an in person vs curbside visit with your veterinarian. Please continue to remain in your car until a team member comes out to get you. This will also reduce crowding at our entry area and ensure that we have a clean room ready for your visit. At this time, the check in process will also require proof of vaccination status as well as completion of a COVID screening waiver. Please be prepared to complete these requirements upon arrival, otherwise we will transition to a curbside visit. Masks must be worn at all times over your nose and mouth while in the clinic. We will be happy to provide you with a mask in the event that you do not have one with you. If you are feeling unwell for any reason, we ask that you do not request an in person visit and remain curbside for your appointment. If you are experiencing COVID related symptoms we will require you to have another person bring your pet to the exam or reschedule if it is a routine visit.
In order to maintain appropriate social distancing in our exam rooms, we are only allowing one person to accompany their pets inside. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis for euthanasia. If you have family members that are unable to remain in the car unattended, we will transition your appointment to curbside.
We appreciate your continued understanding, cooperation and patience as our priority is to ensure everyone’s safety as we work through this transition. We recognize that this past year and a half has not been easy for anyone. Please remember that this includes your veterinary team who saw a spike in demand correlating with the increased pet adoptions that occurred during the pandemic. As many of you are aware, several industries are experiencing a shortage in the workforce and the veterinary industry is no exception. We are all here to ensure that your pets receive the best possible care and ask that you continue to be patient. If you have any comments, concerns or issues that you would like to discuss regarding these policies, please address them with management by sending an email to northgate@northgateveterinary.com.
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your pet. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve our pet community.
